Captain's log-

Renaming the blog for SEO and refining pricing intelligence UI

What I worked on today

  • Finished the blog UI.
  • Renamed it back to just "Blog" for better SEO and clarity.
  • Added categories to make the blog more flexible for product updates, new features, and future content.
  • Focused on structuring the blog for competitive pricing analysis and pricing intelligence updates.
  • Implemented structured data (JSON-LD) for blog posts, which should help Google index content faster and improve organic traffic—though I’m not sure how much impact it will actually have.

Lessons learned

  • Thinking ahead when naming features prevents limitations later.
  • A structured blog with categories improves long-term scalability.
  • Pricing intelligence tools benefit from clear documentation and changelogs.
  • Structured data should improve search visibility, but it remains to be seen how much impact it will have.

Challenges faced

  • No technical blockers or bugs.
  • Some time constraints.
  • Lack of sleep affected focus and slowed progress.

What’s next

  • Resubmitting Stripe details for the approval process.
  • Exploring content ideas related to price monitoring software, competitor pricing strategies, and retail price intelligence.
